Services
Risk Assessments, Analysis and Retrofit Design Hinman Consulting Engineers has performed risk assessments, analysis and retrofit design on over three dozen existing GSA properties. For these facilities, we estimate the extent of damage and casualties possible for various size threats and scenarios. These results allow our clients to evaluate security upgrade measures, develop effective evacuation plans, and rearrange buildings' functional layouts to save lives. Issues addressed include: perimeter security, window upgrades, exterior wall and column protection and interior area protection.

The majority of these projects have been performed through Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts or through direct contracting methods administered by the GSA National Headquarters or by GSA Regional offices. We are regularly asked to perform the detailed construction design to further the project to completion after we have completed the initial study.
